National Bank of Uzbekistan
National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as “NBU”) is the largest financial institution in the banking and financial market of Uzbekistan. NBU was established in 1991 in accordance with the Decree of the first President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For 29 years, NBU has been holding key position in the country's banking and financial market. The Bank has 73 branches, as well as 26 centers that provides full-fledged banking services. The main activity of NBU is aimed at strengthening its position in the domestic financial market of the country and protecting the interests of Uzbekistan in the international financial market. Sanoat Qurilish Bank
Sanoat Qurilish Bank was established in 1922 and offers a comprehensive range of banking services, including state, corporate and retail lending, deposit-taking, cash handling, international money transfers, letters of credit, guarantees, foreign exchange operations and other products. In 1991, After the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the bank was renamed to Uzpromstroybank and transformed into a Joint-Stock Commercial Bank. In 2018, Uzpromstroybank started transformation in cooperation with IFC and carried out a rebranding – Sanoat Qurilish Bank. Sanoat Qurilish Bank is at the 1st place in loans to key industrial sectors of the country like, oil-gas, chemical industry; energy sectors and 2nd largest bank in terms of assets and loan portfolio size. It has assets in the amount of 34 892 bln. UZsoums and capital in the amount of 6 247 bln. UZsoums. In 2019, projects in the amount of around 1.1 bln. USD were financed by Sanoat Qurilish Bank. Fitch and S&P rating agencies upgraded Sanoat Qurilish Bank’s rating from B+ to BB- stable in 2019. Sanoat Qurilish Bank conducts its banking operations from its head office in Tashkent and 45 branches covering all regions of the country with the 4th widest distribution network. The main shares of SQB are owned by the government and 95% of its shares belong to Uzbek Fund for Construction and Development(UFRD) and State Asset Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 5% is owned by state owned companies and 30K individuals. When it comes to the funding, 59% funded by Government funding through UFRD and other governmental entities. Sanoat Qurilish Bank has successfully placed debut corporate Eurobonds in the amount 300 mln US dollars with 5 years tenor at London Stock Exchange in 2019. SQB became the first bank in the history of Uzbekistan to enter the international debt market. The bank prepared to issue corporate Eurobonds based on recommendations from JP Morgan, Citigroup, Commerzbank and Raiffeisen Bank. In 2019 on November 18-22, roadshows were held in Zurich, Frankfurt and London.
Ipak Yuli Bank
Ipak Yuli Bank is one of the first private commercial banks in Uzbekistan, founded in 1990. The regional network of Ipak Yuli Bank has 16 branches.
